Farmhouse Painted Furniture Shelf with Flowers
Painted furniture farmhouse painted shelf with garden flowers hand painted in watercolor and illustrated by hand with ink. A wide variety of garden flowers and botanical wildflowers adorn the sides and back panel. While the entire shelf is painted white I added a hint of blue sky washed all over this fun wonderful farmhouse shelf. On each peg I painted a forget-me-not flower. I hand distressed the shelf to give it a time worn look.
Some of the flowers I painted are butterfly bush. hollyhock, larkspur, and coneflowers but there are more to discover. Of course there is a bumble bee too.
I custom designed this hand made painted shelf from 3/4 stock furniture grade pine. The decorative sides are cut on my bandsaw. Pegs are sturdy ready to hold anything. The back I placed hooks for easy hanging. The painted shelf is lacquered and hand waxed.
