I have put together some new work focusing on my distinctive style using acrylic paints. Painting on canvas allows me to extend the painting size I work on. Just as with my watercolors I am combining my technique with paint washes and ink. This is just another surface to paint on, at least in my mind it is. Whimsical Wild Garden Flower Acrylic PaintingBeautiful whimsical wild garden flowers are blooming in the garden in this original acrylic painting. Do you love discovering what new blossoms have appeared today? I know I do.
This is a painting of some of my favorite blooms. Find butterfly bush, hollyhocks, columbine, teasel and trout lily are just a few. I chose acrylics on canvas with ink. This painting is much like my watercolors which is a big favorite. Title: Wild Garden Flowers Medium: Acrylic and Ink on canvas Canvas Size: 24 x 24 inches Unframed - Sides are painted. I received my BA in Studio Arts, where I studied the fine art of printmaking, painting and interior design. I have been painting, drawing, designing all my life. My very first love was and still is watercolor paintings. Andrew Wyeth’s watercolors and Redoute’s illustrations inspire my work. My work experience includes working closely with an interior designer at Sotheby's in NYC for restoration of painted chairs, Head Designer/Owner for floral shop and now owner of my own studio and shop.
